China Admits to Smelting Giant Gold Buddha Statue to Make Olympic Gold Medals.

In a surprising display of openness, the Chinese government has reluctantly revealed that the reason they tried to win so many gold medals wasn't because of country pride, but because they needed to get the gold used in the creation of the 1st place trophies back. It appears that the government dismantled the giant gold statue of Buddha, at the Fo Guang Shan, the seat of Buddhism in China, in order to make the medals. The government said “We thought we had a good chance of getting all the medals back, if it wasn't for that Michael Phelps!” Fear runs rampant as anger and descent grow over this latest example of how the communistic government, has tried to manipulate and control the entire Olympic Games.
