Blowing chunks is one of many euphemisms for the act of vomiting.

Origins of the phrase Blowing Chunks

The common slang term of "blowing chunks" comes directly from the chunky fruit pieces seen primarily in fruit cocktails. Often times, tourists in tropical locations were unfamiliar with the potency of the fruit cocktail they were gulping down. The consumption was so fast that they weren't even chewing the fruit chunks. After the tourist had blown through four or five of the strong tropical drinks, they would become nauseous, expelling the mixture from their stomachs. This was referred to by the burgeoning surfer community of the Pacific islands as "blowing chunks."

As surfers traveled to many of the locations that the drinks did, the term blowing chunks came with them. Soon the phrase blowing chunks became even more popular than the alcoholic drink that inspired the term, and the term escaped the tiki bar into mainstream society.
